DRDO Seeks Partner to Develop Indigenous Liquid Fuel Ramjet Engine
In a decisive advancement towards enhancing India’s defense capabilities, the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) to seek a Development-cum-Production Partner for the development of a Liquid Fuel Ramjet (LFRJ) engine. This innovative propulsion technology is intended for next-generation supersonic cruise missiles, significantly improving efficiency, range, and speed. By fostering public-private partnerships, the initiative aligns with the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative, aiming to diminish reliance on foreign defense technology. The move is crucial as India strengthens its missile arsenal and positions itself as a formidable regional defense force, addressing contemporary aerial threats and reinforcing self-reliance in defense production.
