Artillery Regiment Celebrates 199th Gunners Day at War Memorial
The Indian Army’s Regiment of Artillery commemorated its 199th Gunners Day with a solemn wreath-laying ceremony at the National War Memorial in New Delhi, marking the historic establishment of the first Indian artillery unit on this day in 1827. Chief of Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi extended greetings to all ranks, including veterans and families. Lieutenant General Adosh Kumar, Director General of Artillery, emphasized the Regiment’s commitment to modernization in alignment with the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative.
