Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) is set to deliver 12 Tejas Mk 1A fighter jets to the Indian Air Force (IAF) by the end of FY26, as confirmed by HAL’s Chairman D K Sunil. The recent order for 97 additional Tejas Mk 1A aircraft underscores confidence in HAL’s capabilities, with a total eventual delivery of 180 units. While addressing supply chain challenges, Sunil emphasized the importance of continuous orders to maintain global aerospace engagement. Looking ahead, the LCA Mk 2 is expected to debut in 2027, featuring enhanced technologies.
