Ten Maoists surrender in Jharkhand, vow to join mainstream society.

In a significant development in Jharkhand, ten members of the CPI (Maoist) surrendered to the Director General of Police (DGP) Anurag Gupta in Chaibasa, pledging to renounce violence and reintegrate into society. This surrender, part of a broader campaign to eliminate Naxal influence by March 2026, reflects the state’s effective rehabilitation policy and concerted law enforcement efforts, as echoed by DGP Gupta and senior officials present at the ceremony. Earlier this month, nine members of the Jharkhand Jan Mukti Parishad also surrendered, underscoring the intensified operations against Maoists. These actions illustrate a strategic push by Indian authorities to restore peace and stability in Naxal-affected areas, marking a hopeful trend towards reducing insurgency and fostering community integration.
