NIA Charges Khalistani Terrorist for Threatening PM Modi
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has initiated a case against Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, a US-based Khalistani terrorist, for threatening Prime Minister Narendra Modi and promoting disaffection among Sikhs against India. Pannun, affiliated with the banned Sikhs For Justice (SFJ), publicly announced a reward of Rs 11 crore for Sikh soldiers who would prevent Modi from hoisting the national flag on Independence Day. His actions, including unveiling a new Khalistan map that encompasses parts of India, have been deemed a direct challenge to India’s sovereignty. This significant development underlines the persistent threat posed by separatist movements and underscores the Indian government’s commitment to countering terrorism and safeguarding national integrity.
