DRDO Delivers Indigenous Simulator to Boost AMCA and Tejas Mk-2 Development
In a significant advancement for India’s defense capabilities, the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has delivered an indigenous Electronic Pilot Simulator to the Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA), a critical step in the development of the Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) and Tejas Mk-2. This sophisticated simulation platform enhances flight testing by closely mimicking real-world pilot inputs under various scenarios, significantly reducing certification timelines and improving safety. By incorporating over 85% local content, the simulator not only accelerates the validation of flight control laws and avionics integration but also ensures India’s strategic autonomy in aerospace technology. This development underscores India’s commitment to advancing its indigenous defense capabilities amidst evolving regional security dynamics.
