IAF Plans to Induct 300-400 Unmanned Stealth Jets by 2040s

The Indian Air Force (IAF) is poised for a significant transformation in its aerial warfare strategy, with plans to induct 300 to 400 unmanned stealth aircraft by the 2040s. This ambitious initiative aims to enhance India’s military capabilities amid rising regional tensions, particularly with China and Pakistan. The proposed fleet will consist of Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCAs), Tactical Stealth Fighter Bombers, and Unmanned Stealth Fighters, designed for versatile roles ranging from intelligence gathering to precision strikes. However, successful integration hinges on the timely development of prototypes by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and efficient production by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), as delays in related projects could impede progress. This initiative underscores India’s commitment to advancing its defense capabilities while adapting to modern warfare trends.
