Abu Dhabi-based Caracal, in partnership with Icomm Tele Ltd, has been awarded a contract to supply 200 CSR 338 sniper rifles to India’s Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). The rifles will be manufactured at the recently inaugurated Icomm Caracal Small Arms Complex in Hyderabad, which aims to bolster India’s defense manufacturing capabilities under the Make in India initiative. This collaboration not only ensures the delivery of advanced sniper systems but also promotes technology transfer and job creation in the region. Set for delivery in the fourth quarter of 2025, this contract marks a significant step towards enhancing India’s defense industrial ecosystem and achieving greater self-reliance in defense production.
