The Noida-based Roter Group has signed a significant Technology Transfer agreement with Germany’s Quantum Systems to manufacture next-generation UAVs in India, bolstering the “Make in India” and “Atmanirbhar Bharat” initiatives. This partnership aims for 80-90% indigenous content, focusing on enhancing India’s aerospace and defense capabilities, particularly highlighted by the successful use of local drones during Operation Sindoor. The agreement will enable the Roter Group to produce advanced ISR UAVs, integrating AI for real-time data processing. This strategic move aligns with the Defense Research and Development Organisation’s goals to promote indigenous production and technological advancement in defense systems, enhancing national security and operational readiness for India’s armed forces.
