Army Major Apraant Raunaq Singh dies while serving at LoC

An Army Major, Apraant Raunaq Singh, stationed along the Line of Control (LoC) in Kupwara district, North Kashmir, passed away after falling ill. The Chinar Corps of the Indian Army confirmed his death, emphasizing his sacrifice while serving in the Nowgam sector. Major Singh, originally from Uttar Pradesh and a recipient of the Sena Medal in 2022, had previously engaged in significant combat operations, including a notable gunbattle with terrorists in 2021. The Army expressed deep condolences and solidarity with his family, reflecting the high personal cost endured by soldiers safeguarding the nation’s borders.
