Chandigarh is set to host a spectacular air show by the prestigious Suryakiran Aerobatic Team on September 26, marking the ceremonial retirement of the iconic MiG-21 fighter jet after six decades of service in the Indian Air Force (IAF). Known for their precision and teamwork, the Suryakiran team will display a series of breathtaking maneuvers using Hawk Mk-132 jets. This event, titled the Culmination of MiG-21 Ops in IAF, will feature a special flypast as a tribute to the aircraft that has played a crucial role in India’s defense capabilities since its induction in 1963.
