Israel's "Iron Beam" laser anti-missile system to be operational by year-end.

Israel’s Defence Ministry announced that its laser-based anti-missile system, “Iron Beam,” has completed testing and will be operational by year-end. Co-developed by Elbit Systems and Rafael, this cost-effective system targets smaller missiles and drones, significantly enhancing Israel’s air defense alongside existing systems like Iron Dome. It marks a milestone as the first high-power laser interception system to reach full operational maturity.
