The Indian government has issued a tender for the construction of the Dibang dam, set to be the country’s highest at 278 meters, aimed at countering China’s significant hydropower projects. With a cost of ₹31,875 crore, this dam will generate 2,880 MW and enhance flood moderation in Northeast India.
