IRDE Seeks Vendors for Software Verification of EO Payloads
The Instruments Research and Development Establishment (IRDE) of India’s DRDO is seeking qualified service providers for Software Verification and Validation (V&V) to support the certification of advanced airborne electro-optical (EO) payload systems. These systems, designed for military applications, include a Conformal Dome EO Payload for surveillance and a Retraction Mechanism EO Payload for operational flexibility. The adherence to DO-178C (Level C) standards is crucial for ensuring the safety and reliability of these software systems, which will significantly enhance India’s defense capabilities, particularly in real-time surveillance and reconnaissance missions. This initiative underscores India’s commitment to maintaining high standards in defense technology development.
