Operation Sindoor: Success Without Conventional War Protocols

Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi praised Operation Sindoor, a four-day anti-terror campaign post-Pahalgam attack, highlighting its success as a collective effort involving military, scientists, and policymakers. He emphasized the significance of a whole-of-nation approach and noted that modern warfare requires innovative strategies, including drone and cyber attacks, without resorting to conventional war protocols. Notably, he advocated for stronger ties between the military, academia, and industry, citing India’s Aatmanirbhar policy, which has bolstered indigenous defense production, as 90% of ammunition is now made domestically, paving the way for enhanced self-reliance in defense capabilities.
