He highlighted the crucial role of educational institutions under the Ministry of Defence in character development and nation-building. Stressing the need for Atmanirbharta (self-reliance) in the defense sector, he stated that dependence on foreign nations is no longer viable given the current geopolitical challenges, asserting that self-reliance is essential for India’s progress in the 21st century. This underscores the government’s commitment to bolster domestic capabilities in defense and instill values of leadership and integrity in the youth.
