DRDO's NETRA MkII to Feature Advanced 300-Degree Radar System

The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has announced that the NETRA MkII Airborne Early Warning and Control system will feature an advanced 300-degree radar system with a range exceeding 400 km, significantly boosting India’s aerial surveillance and command capabilities. Mounted on the Airbus A321, the NETRA MkII will enhance endurance to over eight hours, enabling prolonged surveillance missions. Its innovative radar technology, derived from the indigenous Uttam platform, will improve detection of stealth threats and facilitate real-time guidance for fighter jets, effectively increasing the Indian Air Force’s operational lethality. This development underscores India’s commitment to strengthening its defense infrastructure and enhancing situational awareness.
