Engineering Officers Graduate from Air Force Technical College

On September 5, 2025, the Air Force Technical College (AFTC) in Bengaluru celebrated the graduation of the 105th Aeronautical Engineering Course, with a total of 71 engineering officers successfully completing 62 weeks of rigorous training. The batch included 58 Indian officers and 13 officers from 10 friendly foreign countries, demonstrating India’s emerging role as a hub for aerospace education and training. The event was officiated by Air Marshal Vijay Kumar Garg, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Maintenance Command, Indian Air Force, who inspected the parade as the Reviewing Officer and presented awards to outstanding officers. Established in 1949, AFTC has evolved into a premier Category-A training institution, offering an M.Tech degree in Aeronautical Engineering. The graduation ceremony not only highlighted the technical acumen and disciplined training of the officers but also underscored their critical role in maintaining India’s defense modernization and operational readiness. The top graduate, Flying Officer S. Madhu, received the prestigious Sword of Honour, symbolizing excellence and dedication. This event reflects the Indian Air Force’s commitment to nurturing skilled technical leadership amid evolving defense challenges.
