DRDO Collaborates with Private Sector on SATCOM Datalink for Tejas Mk2 and AMCA
In a significant move to enhance India’s indigenous fighter aircraft capabilities, the DRDO has partnered with private sector firms to develop a SATCOM-based datalink for the Tejas Mk2 and AMCA, aligning with the Make in India and Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiatives. This datalink will enable real-time, secure communication and facilitate advanced operations, improving the Indian Air Force’s effectiveness in contested environments. With the involvement of private companies like Tata Advanced Systems and Larsen & Toubro, this collaboration is set to streamline development while addressing challenges such as anti-jamming capabilities. Overall, this initiative underscores India’s commitment to self-reliance and modernization in defense technology.
