India-Saudi Arabia Joint Defence Cooperation Meeting Held in New Delhi
The 7th meeting of the India-Saudi Arabia Joint Committee on Defence Cooperation was held in New Delhi on August 28, 2025, co-chaired by Indian Joint Secretary Amitabh Prasad and Saudi Staff Maj Gen Saad Mohammed H Alkathiri. Both nations are committed to enhancing their bilateral defense ties, with discussions focusing on training cooperation, industrial partnerships, and maritime exercises. India showcased its advancements in defense manufacturing and offered training to the Saudi Armed Forces, while exploring joint manufacturing opportunities. This meeting underscores the deepening strategic partnership, highlighted by the establishment of a Ministerial Committee on Defence Cooperation during the Indian Prime Minister’s visit to Saudi Arabia in April 2025.
