DRDO's ADA Develops AI E-Pilot for AMCA MkII Stealth Fighter

The DRDO’s Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) is advancing India’s air combat capabilities with the AI-driven E-Pilot system for the Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) MkII, a fifth-generation stealth fighter. This system aims for autonomous operations, allowing the AMCA to engage in high-risk missions without pilot intervention, enhancing versatility and operational safety. The integration of advanced sensors and real-time data processing will enable the aircraft to assess threats and optimize missions independently. The project aligns with India’s Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative, promising to boost indigenous defense capabilities, although challenges such as cyber resilience and integration with existing systems remain critical to address.
