EAM Jaishankar to visit Russia to enhance strategic partnership.

External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar is set to visit Russia from August 19-21 to strengthen the India-Russia Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership. He will co-chair the 26th Session of the India-Russia Inter-Governmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technological and Cultural Cooperation and address the India-Russia Business Forum in Moscow. Additionally, Jaishankar will engage with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov to review bilateral agendas and discuss regional and global issues. This visit underscores India’s commitment to maintaining robust ties with Russia, especially in light of recent diplomatic activities with China, reflecting India’s strategic balancing in a complex geopolitical landscape.
