Four militants, including rebel leader, arrested in Manipur.

Security forces in Manipur have arrested four militants, including Moirangthem Biramani Meitei, the self-styled army chief of the banned Kangleipak Communist Party. Two additional militants from the Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup were apprehended for extorting local businesses, with firearms and explosives recovered during these operations. An active member of PREPAK (PRO) was also arrested, further highlighting ongoing security efforts in the region. This operation reflects India’s commitment to countering insurgency and maintaining stability in Manipur, showcasing the effectiveness of security forces in mitigating threats posed by militant groups.
