Crimean chef arrested for espionage and plotting against soldiers

A woman in Crimea has been arrested by the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) for alleged espionage, accused of providing sensitive information to Ukrainian military intelligence regarding Russian military assets, including the locations of Black Sea Fleet ships. The FSB asserts that she, a head chef in Sevastopol, made covert contact with Ukraine’s Main Intelligence Directorate via WhatsApp and shared photographs of naval vessels, which were reportedly used in missile strike planning. Additionally, the FSB has charged her with plotting to poison Russian soldiers. This incident underscores the ongoing tensions between Russia and Ukraine and highlights the evolving nature of modern warfare, where espionage efforts increasingly intertwine with traditional military engagements.
