The Army Training Command (ARTRAC) celebrated its 35th Raising Day in Shimla, featuring a band display and a fitness run that highlighted unity and camaraderie among troops and their families. Lt Gen Devendra Sharma emphasized the importance of physical fitness, aligning with the Fit India initiative. Established in 1991, ARTRAC oversees military training and integration of technological advancements essential for modern warfare. With an investment of Rs 390 crore planned for research and infrastructure over the next five years, ARTRAC aims to enhance military leadership and adapt to future conflicts through 57 initiatives focused on jointness, modernization, and technology absorption. This commitment underscores the Indian Army’s proactive approach to evolving defense strategies in a rapidly changing global landscape.
