T-Works Develops Indigenous Flight Simulators to Cut Imports
Telangana’s T-Works is spearheading the development of indigenous Full Motion Flight Simulators aimed at enhancing India’s aerospace self-reliance and reducing dependency on costly foreign imports. This initiative, backed by the state government, plans to deliver five advanced systems that replicate real-world flying conditions at significantly lower costs, projected between ₹25-30 crore compared to ₹50 crore for imports. With India’s civil aviation market expected to triple pilot demand by 2030 and the Indian Air Force facing a shortfall in squadrons, these simulators will improve combat readiness and training efficiency. This strategy not only promotes local manufacturing but also aligns with the Atmanirbhar Bharat vision, fostering job creation and potential export opportunities worth $100 million by 2030.
