Mahindra Armado ALSV Boosts Indian Army with Drone and Anti-Drone Tech
The Indian Army’s modernization initiative has received a significant boost with the Mahindra Armado Armoured Light Specialist Vehicle (ALSV) now equipped with advanced drone-mounted capabilities and a Counter-Unmanned Aerial System (C-UAS). This innovative configuration allows the Armado to deploy a hexacopter for Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) operations while enhancing troop safety against aerial threats. The vehicle’s modular design and specifications, including ballistic protection up to STANAG Level II, make it suitable for high-intensity missions, particularly in challenging terrains like Ladakh and Jammu and Kashmir. These developments underscore India’s proactive measures in countering emerging drone threats and underscore the military’s commitment to enhancing situational awareness and operational efficacy in complex environments.
