IAF Enhances Military Readiness Through Satellite Capabilities
The Indian Air Force (IAF) is enhancing its military preparedness by prioritizing satellite capabilities, highlighting the importance of satellite-enabled intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, and communication. Air Marshal Tejinder Singh emphasized the need for collaboration between civil and military entities like ISRO and the Defence Space Agency, aiming to increase the satellite constellation from 12 to 78 by 2031. ISRO Chairman V Narayanan reinforced India’s evolution into a significant space power, showcasing achievements like Chandrayaan-3 and upcoming missions. Both leaders stressed the necessity of strategic integration and innovation through public-private partnerships to bolster India’s space-driven defense capabilities and global standing by 2040.
