The DRDO has pledged full support to MSMEs for enhancing India’s self-reliance in defense production, aligning with the Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative. During a conclave, over 100 participants discussed R&D funding, skill development, and technology transfer to bolster the Uttar Pradesh Defence Industrial Corridor. India’s defense production has surged significantly, with exports reaching a record high, reflecting a strong commitment to indigenous capabilities. Initiatives like iDEX and the newly launched ADITI scheme are fostering innovation in critical technologies, with substantial funding allocated to support startups and MSMEs, further integrating them into the defense ecosystem and reinforcing national security.
