The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has partnered with Apollo Micro Systems Limited to produce the advanced Vighana Multi-Influence Ground Mines (MIGM) for the Indian Navy, enhancing India’s indigenous defense capabilities under the Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative. These underwater mines are designed to respond to various threats, boosting the Navy’s mine warfare and securing vital maritime zones amidst rising geopolitical tensions in the Indo-Pacific region.
